Tip #1 – Hydration is KEY!

Over the last 20 years, I ALWAYS seemed to fight this problem of splitting skin on my upper lip whenever I played hard / long gigs. I always associated it to the summer heat, and just doing things incorrectly.  It never bled and only took a couple of days to heal.

Earlier this year we started drinking a lot of water each day.  There have been days I’ve downed a gallon of water.  With this much hydration, I never had any issues with splitting skin!  I am CERTAIN that this was solely caused by dehydration as our lip tissue is largely made up of moisture… you have to STAY hydrated at all times.

Keep your fluid intake levels high, and try to avoid soda’s and sugar-filled drinks!  They will dehydrate you faster than anything.

Tip #2 – Video Tip!
